Dear laser scanning community,
In the scope of our commitment in the field of development and racing, we deal with scanning of vehicles for some time past in order to use scanning data for various types of digital simulations. Currently, the racing motorbike of our Laserscanning Europe Road Racing Team is shown at teh booth of Stuttgart University at CeBIT, the worldwide largest computer trade show in Hanover.
At the opening day, the Federal Minister of Education and Research, Mrs. Prof. Dr, Johanna Wanka, informed about the chances which are provided by modern Virtual Reality (VR) and simulations based on laser scanning data in the field of development and advancement of vehicles.
By our efforts in research and development work, we hope for further insights in the field of aerodynamics allowing us to may use this knowledge for the setup of our racing motorbike for the coming season of IRRC series.
