PointCab plug-in for georeferencing in FARO Scene

Dear laser scanning community,

Today, we want to introduce the new PointCab app for easier and more automated georeferencing in FARO Scene.

In FARO Scene, you can perform Cloud2Cloud or target based registration of scans where one scan is defined as origin. Pointcab app provides the significant advantage: The "Georeferencing" app allows you to easily realize subsequent georeferencing via known geodetic points.

The accuracy of scan registration remains constant. The attribution of reference marks (e. g. reference spheres, checkerboard targets) or points to geodetic points is realized fully automatically. Then, these relations are consistently renamed in FARO Scene. The cluster structure is completely retained in Scene.
