Pointools 4 Rhino™ delivers Pointool's industry leading point cloud display technology into Rhinoceros®. This enables you to use Rhino's powerful drawing and modelling toolset within a point cloud context, ideal for:

Pointools Industry Leading Display Engine

Pointools 4 Rhino utilizes our industry leading display technology to deliver high-performance point cloud visualisation within Rhinoceros®. This means you can work with 100's millions of points within Rhino and enjoy performance comparable to View and View Pro.

Intensity, RGB and Lighting Shaders

All shading options are fully blendable and update immediately as you change options. You can even setup different shading settings in each viewport to optimise each view. The per-viewport shader setup is saved in your Rhino 3dm file along with sections and references to pod* files.

POD Scene Management

Unload and reload POD files as you need. When a POD file is unloaded Rhino displays a native Rhino Point Cloud as a proxy. Users without Pointools 4 Rhino can still open your 3dm files and use the Rhino proxy cloud without destroying the Pointools setup.

Rapid Viewport Sections

Easily make any orthographic view a section view, choose its thickness and dynamically update its position. Just grab and drag the section line in another viewport and watch the view update. You can even link the Contruction Plane to the section view so you're always drawing in the right place. Stop wasting hours cutting hundreds of sections to get the detail you need, just click and drag!
