All FARO Laser Scanner Photon units now feature a 64GB Solid-state drive (SSD). The SSD is the latest state of the art computer storage device consisting of memory chips instead of rotating magnetic discs and moving read/write heads and is much faster and due to the lack of mechanical parts more robust.
