Checkerboard target
The checkerboard target is a reference mark for laser scanning. A checkerboard consists of two black and two white squares which are arranged like a chessboard. The evaluation software detects this pattern and automatically determines a center (weighted focus) which will serve as a reference point. Such a target mark can be sticked to a wall or positioned free-standing. Ideally, the checkerboard target can be turned so that the checkerboard can be directed optimally to the scanner.
