Demo video: Getting Started with Dot3D Scan and Dot3D Pro
With the release of Dot3D Scan, Dot3D Pro Beta and several new Intel RealSense depth cameras, DotProduct now offers a new video that will help you to get started with these technologies. Whether you are an experienced DotProduct user, a new Intel RealSense owner or just curious, this video is a good starting point for these new solutions.
The video shows the basic procedure of capturing a kitchen for renovation with a Windows Surface Pro 4 Tablet, an Intel RealSense D415 depth camera and Dot3D Pro.

Dot3D for Intel RealSense on the Samsung Note 9 Plus
In this new demo video, DotProduct briefly introduces a very interesting new feature: Android phone compatibility for Dot3D Pro and Intel RealSense. Given the compactness of Intel RealSense depth cameras, phone compatibility is a very attractive next step for Dot3D Pro.
The demo video shows the use of the Intel RealSense D415 depth camera for 3D scanning with a Samsung Note 9 Plus Android phone with DotProduct's Dot3D Pro software.
New handheld 3D scanners: DPI-8S & DPI-8S SR
Dot3D Pro will also support DotProduct's new line of Android-based 3D handheld scanners. The new 3D scanners DPI-8S and DPI-8S SR will replace the DPI-8X and DPI-8X SR; the new devices will be shipped immediately. DPI-8S and DPI-8S SR are equipped with the Samsung Tab S2 tablet with 32 GB memory, an 8.0" 2048x1536 (QXGA) touch screen display and 3 GB RAM for larger scenes. The new design also provides direct access to the tablet's 8-megapixel camera for taking HD photos during scanning (enabled in the new Dot3D Pro); the new scanners are also lighter than their predecessors. Until the full release of Dot3D Pro, DPI-8S/SR will be shipped with both Phi.3D and Dot3D Pro Beta - DotProduct will withdraw Phi.3D at this time.

Import DP point cloud files directly into Rhino 6 with the latest update to the DP Import Plugin for Rhino. This plugin is now available for Rhino 4, 5 and 6 on Food4Rhino.
