Some of our customers use the CAD software Nemetschek Allplan for their planning, especially in the field of architecture. Data of a 3D laser scanner (point cloud) cannot be used in Allplan without any problem. That’s why our customers apply the laser scanning software PointCab in order to output the required laser scanner data scaled, deformation-true and in the correct position in DXF or DWG format. Afterwards, they are able to use the data easily for planning and modeling in Allplan.

Due to PointCab, you can use even enormous data volumes quickly and easily in Allplan. Simply create plans and sectional views as a basis for planning. Extract only the information which you need for your job and reduce the data this way. Then, you can import the views easily and in a few seconds in Nemetschek Allplan and use it directly. For comparison: Importing the entire scan data would need a few hours.

With PointCab, you have the perfect solution even in case of varying demands. Apart from plans and sections, you can create even digital terrain models (DTM), height points and profile lines out of the point cloud or determine deformations due to the PointCab tools. With PointCab‘s WebExport tool, you can generate an interactive panorama tour in which you can move virtually and understand the local conditions.

You can purchase the PointCab solutions in our online shop. Find more information on http://shop.laserscanning-europe.com/PointCab_1.
