PointCab introduces a new range of premium tools. These tools include the volume tool and the benchmark tool – two tools with which you can use PointCab for more tasks.
Volume tool
With the volume tool, you can create a digital elevation model based on your point clouds in just a few steps – as always in PointCab. The digital elevation model is saved in an open file format and can be processed in an arbitrary CAD system. Thus, you are flexible – as is usual with PointCab.
Pit or mound
Determine the volume of a building pit, river bed or sink in a few steps. Even the impoundment volume, for instance of a retention basin, can be determined easily. For that purpose, you simply have to define the desired area of your laser scanning project in the top view in PointCab. It is just as easy to determine the volume of mounds or pits.
News feature in PointCab: Benchmark at the click of a mouse
Benefit from the altitude values of your point cloud and enlarge your site plan by matrix dots with just a few clicks. For that purpose, simply choose the benchmark tool and click on the positions whose coordinates you want to export. After you have chosen all points, you simply export the coordinate list and import this one in your CAD system.
