In our new PointCab user story, you get to know why laser scanning was the perfect technology for the registration of occupied area and which advantages the laser scanning software PointCab provided.
The goal of the project was the creation of as-built drawings and fire control plans for 12.000m² of occupied area. The area has been scanned by means of a FARO Focus3D. The laser scanning data (point clouds) has been analyzed in the software PointCab. Then, the generated ortho photos have been used for the realization of fire control plans and as-built drawings.
