ASCII

ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) has been developed by the American Standards Association (ASA). ASCII is an 8 bit character-encoding scheme which contains the Latin alphabet, numbers and special characters. In ASCII, characters are represented by numerals. The ASCII format is an interchange format between CAD applications and represents the individual points of the point cloud.
