AutoCAD plug-in

In the context of laser scanning or point clouds, there are several providers of AutoCAD plug-ins for the presentation and processing of point clouds or measurement results of laser scanners for years. The plug-ins extend the existing AutoCAD features by further features. At the same time, Autodesk extends continuously the own format PCG.

In previous PointCab versions, a plug-in was required to import the PointCab results in AutoCAD. Starting from PointCab version 2.0, a plug-in is not necessary anymore since PointCab can create a dxf file. This dxf file can be imported directly by AutoCAD. For that purpose, you can use the command INSERT.
