VRML

VRML is a CAD data format which illustrates 3D bodies as triangulated surfaces. Colors and textures are assigned to the surfaces. The triangles are represented in two numbered lists: The coordinates of the triangulation points are shown in the first list; in the second list, a position number – based on the first list – is assigned to the triangles. The geometric element allows the distinction of the inner interior and the exterior. The format VRML avoids redundancy.
