FARO Technologies announces an update of PointSense. Version 16.5 of the software for architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) applications has been expanded by new functions for efficient processing of scanner data in AutoCAD and Revit.
The new PointSense features in AutoCAD are:
- automatic fit of various polygon cross-sections or contour lines to point cloud areas
- single click plane extraction
- auto-boundary detection
The new tools for plant documentation allow quick modeling of structural steel elements and an improved flange tie-in point extraction.
The new tool for surface analysis in Revit serves for visualization of different surface deformations (e. g. terrain, floors, walls) in compraison to the point cloud.
With Agisoft PhotoScan, users can load their photos in PointSense Heritage and use them for modeling and plan creation.
The new version of the laser scanning software VirtuSurv, which takes photo-like scan views as a basis, has a new user interface for the timber construction software SEMA.
