Scanner Hersteller Creaform mit erfolgreichen ersten Halbjahr 2013

Lévis, July 24, 2013 – Creaform, leader in portable 3D measurement solutions and 3D engineering services, announced today its financial results for the first half of 2013. The company reports a growth of 41% of its sales over 2012.

“We are extremely happy with our performance in the first half of the year. If the trend continues into H2, we will be largely exceeding our ambitious C$52.5 million sales objective for 2013. We have invested a lot of resources into developing a broad portfolio of portable and accurate measurement technologies that enable QC inspectors to take measurements right on the shop floor, and all indicates that our efforts are paying off,” said Creaform CEO Martin Lamontagne.

Lamontagne added that “Last May, we have launched the MetraSCAN-R robot-mounted 3D scanner for automated inspection. The scanner has raised the interest of several major manufacturers, and we are expecting that to translate into sales during the second half of the year.”

Technology Sales Figures

The Handyscan 3D scanners, which stand as the only truly portable metrology-grade scanners on the market, show great figures with a YOY growth of 32 % compared to 2012.

The sales of the MetraSCAN 3D scanners and HandyPROBE portable CMMs have increased by 58% YOY growth so far in 2013. Both devices feature TRUaccuracy, which ensures high accuracy measurement in shop floor conditions and actively contributes to reducing operator-related errors.

Since its release in October of 2012, the Go!SCAN 3D white light scanner exceeds our expectations in terms of sales figures, considering that this product is in its first year of existence.  The Go!SCAN 3D is Creaform’s fastest and most easy-to-use 3D scanner.

Creaform Worldwide

Creaform’s international deployment strategy is continuing to bear fruit, as the company’s technology sales show an impressive YOY growth in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.
