Dear laser scanning community,
For some time, you can rent the telescope tripod KANGUR-Lift for scanning at a height of up to 6 meters from us. Many of our customers have shown interest in this tripod. However, a few customers raise doubts if vibrations could arise during scanning at a height of 6 meters and, thus, could cause a loss of quality in the scan data.
In order to give you an insight and to eliminate concerns, we tested the KANGUR-Lift with the FARO laser scanner Focus3D under realistic conditions. Since it was windy at the time of testing, we secured the telescope pole by means of the guy wires in order to guarantee great stability and avoid a siwnging of the laser scanner.
