Laserscanning Europe auf der BIM World in München - Ein voller Erfolg
Vom 29. - 30. November 2016 waren wir, zusammen mit der PointCab GmbH auf der BIM World in München. Die Veranstaltung fand in diesem jahr zum ersten Mal in Deutschland statt und war ein voller Erfolg. Die BIM World ist eine der wichtigsten Veranstaltungen rund um das Thema Building Information Modeling. Wir waren mit dem Mobile-Mapping-System ZEB-REVO und mit den PointCab 4BIM-Plug-ins vor Ort und konnten viele neue Kontakte und potentielle Kunden gewinnen.

Laserscanning Europe @ BIM World in München - A great success
From 29 to 30 November 2016, Laserscanning Europe GmbH and PointCab GmbH have been at BIM World in Munich. This year, the event took place in Germany for the first time - and it was a great success. BIM World is one of the most important events about Building Information Modeling. We presented the mobile mapping system ZEB-REVO and the PointCab 4CAD plug-ins; we could make new contacts and acquire prospects.

Rückblick zur FARO Open House in Magdeburg
Laserscanning Europe und FARO veranstalteten am 22. November bereits zum zweiten Mal in diesem Jahr ein FARO Open House. Vorgestellt wurden unter anderem die Produktneuheiten aus dem Hause FARO, der neue FARO FocusS und der Freestyle Objects. Außerdem zeigten die Experten von FARO einige Neuheiten des ScanLocalizer. Dr. Richard Steffen, Geschäftsführer der PointCab GmbH, gab einen kurzen Einblick in die Punktwolkenverarbeitung und zeigte das PointCab-Plug-in zu Autodesk Revit.

Review of FARO Open House in Magdeburg
On 22 November, Laserscanning Europe and FARO organized a FARO Open House - for the second time in this year. Among others, we introduced FARO product innovations: the new FARO FocusS and the Freestyle Objects. Moreover, FARO's experts showed some new features of the ScanLocalizer. Dr. Richard Steffen, CEO of PointCab GmbH, gave a short insight into point cloud processing and demonstrated the PointCab plug-in for Autodesk Revit.

Laserscanner und Panoramakamera iSTAR - Welcher Adapter für welchen Scanner?
Farbige Punktwolken werden immer wichtiger. Auch alle führenden Hersteller von Laserscannern haben auf diesen Trend reagiert und bieten ihre Modelle mit integrierten Kameras an, mit denen gleichzeitig zum Scan hochauflösende Bilder erstellt werden können. Diese Prozedur nimmt jedoch sehr viel Zeit in Anspruch. Eine alternative Lösung ist die Verwendung der iSTAR Panoramakamera von NCTech. Sie bietet hochwertige Aufnahmen mit HDR-Funktion. Um den Laserscanner in Verbindung mit der iSTAR nutzen zu können, benötigten Sie bestimmte Adapter, um das optische Zentrum der Kamera mit der Kippachshöhe des Laserscanners gleichzusetzen.

Laser scanner an panoramic camera iSTAR - Which adpater do I use for which scanner?
Colored point clouds become more and more important. All leading manufacturers of laser scanners have responded to this tendency: They offer their scanner models with an integrated camera to create high-definition images simultaneously to the scan. But this procedure takes up a lot of time. NCTech's panoramic camera iSTAR is a perfect alternative; the camera provides high-quality images with HDR. In order to use the laser scanner in conjunction with iSTAR, you need special adapters to align the optical center of the camera and the height of the laser scanner's tilting axis.

Arena4D Data Studio update to version 3.0 - Basic functions for free now!
As of now, everyone can use the basic functions of Arena4D since the software is available for free now. The basic functions allow to import and visualize point clouds at high speed and measure within the point clouds. License modules, such as NCTech's measurement tool or a forensic tool, can be acquired additionally.
