The tripod is compatible with a Leica HDS 7000 scanner. As standard, the scanner is equipped with a 5/8'' thread. As is usual, you can screw a tribrach onto the thread. If you use the scanner for overhead scanning, you shouldn't use only a tripod. The safety adapter is used for this application.
The scanner Leica HDS7000 has been manufactured by Zoller +Fröhlich. According to statements by Zoller+Fröhlich, the base plates of all Z+F scanners are structurally identical. Please find attached the image base_plate.jpg. The three feet for positive centering are put through the holes (A). By means of the threaded holes (B) in the scanner's base plate, the scanner can be screwed onto the safety adapter.
