3D Scan of the Isle of Man TT Grandstand – Powered by XGRIDS Lixel K1 & Gaussian Splatting

The Isle of Man TT is known as the most dangerous road race in the world – and we were right in the middle of it. While supporting our rider Peter Hickman, we also took the chance to showcase what’s possible with cutting-edge 3D scanning technology.
Using the Lixel K1 by XGRIDS, we scanned the iconic TT grandstand and a section of the racetrack. Back in the lab, we processed the scan data in LCC Studio using Gaussian Splatting – resulting in a hyper-realistic 3D visualization of the scene.
