AESUB has launched a lot of reference markers, with different sizes and suitable for different 3D scanners. The AESUBdots are now also available in our online shop.
What are AESUBdots anyway?
AESUBdots are reference markers in the form of stickers that you can simply stick on your scan object to scan it afterwards. The reference points simplify registration between scans and provide excellent measurement results, especially with short-range 3D scanners.
Black&White or Retro Reflective?
The main difference between Black&White and Retro Reflective is the type of 3D scanner used to capture the reference markers. The Black&White reference markers are optimal to capture with a 3D scanner with structured light, such as the 3D scanners from Artec, Shining 3D EinScan Pro, and GOM. The retro-reflective reference points are especially suitable for use with laser light, e.g. for Creaform scanners, Scantech, Shining 3D EinScan HX and FreeScan.
What sizes are available?
For an optimum range of applications, the black and white measurement points are available from us in 5 different sizes, from 1.5mm to 10mm inner diameter. The retro-reflective reference points are available with an inner diameter of 3mm and 6mm.

Compatible with AESUB scanning spray
A huge advantage of the reference points is their super adhesion to the self-volatilizing AEUSB sprays. So you can easily spray an object with the AESUB spray and then attach the reference points to it without the stickers coming off the scan object or slipping.
