More flexible scanning at short ranges thanks to small reference spheres

More flexibility in scanning!

When capturing the environment by means of 3D scanners, it often makes sense to combine terrestrial laser scanners with handheld 3D scanners, for example, in order to capture all the important details in narrow or complex areas. When using different systems, however, one aspect stands out negatively: quite a lot of equipment has to be carried along and often there is only limited space available at the scanning location for placing target marks.

Our new reference sphere set consisting of 5 spheres with a diameter of only 90mm provides a remedy. It supports you in registering and aligning small areas or in combining the measurement results of different scanner types. Scans from terrestrial and handheld 3D scanners can thus be combined quickly and easily.

Due to the small dimensions of the case, the reference sphere set requires little storage space and can be conveniently transported.

  • Optimal detection from all directions thanks to spherical shape
  • Proven laser scanning target
  • Hollow plastic sphere with special coating for optimum reflection behavior
  • M8 female thread to screw in magnetic base (included)
  • Carrying case with precisely fitting inner padding for safe transport

Fields of application of the Ø 90mm reference spheres

  • Architecture, construction and modeling
  • Energy industry and utilities
  • Factory and plant construction
  • Aircraft construction and shipbuilding
  • Crime scene and accident analysis

Compatibility

Our reference spheres are compatible with terrestrial laser scanners, handheld 3D scanners and small-range scanners. All that is important here is that you define the sphere diameter of Ø 90mm in your point cloud processing software.
