MapFusion for PortalCam plus new features in LCC Scan & Lixel CyberColor from XGRIDS
At the end of 2025, XGRIDS released several exciting software updates, bringing the year to a strong close. Particularly noteworthy is the new MapFusion feature for PortalCam, which has now been implemented via ControlPoints for the first time and represents a major step toward even more precise and efficient data collection.
But it's not just PortalCam that benefits from improvements: the LCC Scan app and Lixel CyberColor have also been extensively enhanced. Both applications have new features, additional language options, and important bug fixes that further optimize workflow and increase user-friendliness.

TitlePortalCam v3.2.3
MapFusion for PortalCam
After the release of PortalCam, users could initially only capture individual scans – without merging them into a larger dataset using MapFusion. With the larger Lixel K1 and Lixel L2 Pro models, this was already possible using ControlPoints and the RTK module.
With the new update, PortalCam is now catching up:
ControlPoints can be set in the LCC Scan app. If the IDs of the ControlPoints match in at least two scans, the Lixel CyberColor software can automatically merge them together – just like with the K1 or L2 Pro.
Further innovations in PortalCam v3.2.3
- USB access via physical buttons when inactive: Even when the camera is in standby mode or locked, you can still access the connected USB drive using hardware buttons.
- WLAN channel query: The app can now read the WiFi channel being used—useful for troubleshooting and optimizing the connection.

TitleLCC Scan App v1.1.9
The new update adds several useful enhancements to the LCC Scan app that significantly improve the scanning process.
One of the most important new features is the ability to set three control points directly during a scan. This means that PortalCam scans can now be used for MapFusion for the first time, which greatly simplifies data processing.
In addition, the app now displays a clear warning message when the battery level is critically low. This prevents scans from remaining incomplete or being interrupted unexpectedly.
The app has also been expanded linguistically: in addition to English, German, Italian, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese are now available. This makes it much more convenient to use worldwide.
The update is rounded off by several bug fixes. Among other things, a problem has been fixed where the app could close unexpectedly during a scan.
TitleLixel CyberColor v1.10.0
The Lixel CyberColor software has also received important enhancements. The MapFusion function for PortalCam data has been fully integrated. In addition, the software now also supports Aerial-Ground Map Fusion Points for combined aerial and ground images.
Further new functions:
- Export of 3D tiles with absolute coordinates
- USDZ export with environment data
- Secure logout from connected device
- Show and hide the notes layer
