This week, software developer Veesus announced a free plug-in for the point cloud processing software CloudCompare. The plug-in now makes it easy to open, view and save Veesus VPC files.
The plug-in for CloudCompare also allows you to connect to Veesus' Zappcha cloud system, which lets you stream data from the Zappcha cloud into CloudCompare. So you can also import lidar scans taken with iPhone and iPad from the Zappcha app directly into CloudCompare without having to convert them.
