Geomagic Wrap is a software for digital modelling and processing of 3D scan data, particularly useful in reverse engineering and rapid prototyping. The 2024.3.0 update brings a range of new features that increase accuracy, flexibility and ease of use.
Main features and improvements
2D Compare
With the 2D Compare, you can create 2D cross-sections that visually represent deviations between test and reference objects. Note: To use the 2D Compare, a result object from the 3D comparison must be ended in the Model Manager.
E57 file import/export
The E57 file format (.e57) is now supported. This is an industry standard format for 3D image data developed by ASTM International (ASTM E2807 - 11). E57 files store data in a mixture of binary and XML data commonly used for laser scanners, radars (LADAR), optical measurement cameras and LiDAR. They can contain point data with normal and colour information.
