In our new user story, you are told why 3D laser scanning has been applied for surveying the main post office in Qatar and which advantages the laser scanning software PointCab provides for the analysis and interpretation of the point cloud.
The post office has a very complex external geometry which has to be surveyed from inside and outside. In PointCab, the scanning data is edited in such a way that the customer can use data for the generation of a plan in AutoCAD. For that purpose, sections are drawn through the building and several views are generated in PointCab.
