Title
Powerful. Versatile. Intuitive.

Wysiwyg text

The EinScan Rigil combines advanced laser technology with sophisticated design for a consistently efficient 3D digitisation process. With a choice of wireless standalone mode, wireless or wired PC connection, it offers maximum flexibility for a wide range of applications - from mobile use to complex data processing in a professional environment.

Title
How scanning works with the EinScan Rigil

First column

The scanning process begins with the selection of the appropriate working mode - depending on the project requirements and environment. The scanner uses hybrid light source technology: blue laser diodes for precise geometric detection and VCSEL infrared for fast volume detection of larger objects.

During the scanning process, it is possible to switch dynamically between different laser profiles (parallel, crossed) - for an optimum balance of speed and depth of detail. The powerful tracking algorithm enables marker-free work, even on complex or reflective surfaces.

Even though the EinScan Rigil enables precise, marker-free scanning, scanning with markers remains a proven option - especially for complex geometries or difficult surfaces where additional reference points can be an advantage.

In combination with the integrated 5 megapixel camera, coloured textures can also be captured - ideal for visualisation, documentation or creative applications.

Title
Data export & further processing

First column
Image
EXScan Rigil Software
Second column

Once the scanning process is complete, the captured data is available as high-resolution point clouds or mesh files in various formats - including STL, OBJ, PLY, ASC, 3MF and others.

The specially developed EXScan Rigil software is particularly suitable for further processing. It enables complete control of the scanning process on the PC and also offers extensive post-processing functions such as

  • Alignment, smoothing, gap filling and optimisation of the meshes
  • Selection of different resolutions and export formats
  • Integration into downstream CAD, 3D printing or reverse engineering workflows

The software is designed to be user-friendly, but also supports complex projects and high-resolution data sets. Alternatively, it can be exported for processing in third-party software - the open format support ensures full compatibility with common design and visualisation programs.

Title
EinScan Rigil app - mobile control and simple data management

First column

The EinScan Rigil app adds a mobile user interface to the workflow in standalone and WLAN mode. It enables the scanner to be controlled directly via a compatible end device and allows 3D scans to be easily managed, checked and transferred - even without a connection to a PC.

Typical areas of application for the app:

  • Project management & scan control in standalone mode
  • Wireless data transfer to the Shining 3D Cloud or a PC
  • Real-time preview and evaluation of scan quality
  • Transmission of scan data for post-processing in EXScan Rigil

Use of the app is optional, but is particularly useful if the scanner is used on the move or independently of the PC. In combination with the EXScan Rigil software on the desktop, the system unfolds its full potential - both on site and in a networked workflow.

Note:
The EinScan Rigil app is part of the device software, not on a smartphone. Additional installation on an external device is not necessary. However, a PC with EXScan Rigil or compatible third-party software is generally used for more detailed post-processing.
