DotProduct DPI-8 is a 3D imaging system for capturing objects in a range of 0.6m to 3.3m. Since the handheld scanner needs no laptop and inconvenient cables, DPI-8 is perfectly suited for scanning hard-to-reach areas. Point density is ≤ 1,7 mm at 1m distance; density is ≤ 3,4 mm at 2m distance.
The mobile system consists of a 8" tablet PC with bracket, camera and Phi.3D software. DPI-8 captures objects in real-time and processes scan data directly on the tablet PC. Due to numerous export formats, such as PTS, PTX, PLY, PTG and E57, scan data can be post-processed in any CAD software.
