Maptek I-Site 8400

Maptek I-Site 8400 is a 3D laser scanner manufactured by the company Maptek Pty Limited and uses the time-of-flight measurement method. The scanner provides a maximum measuring speed of 8,800 points/second. At a field of view of 360° (horizontal) x 80° (vertical), Maptek I-Site 8400 allows a range of up to 1,000m (39,370.08 in). Due to the wide range, this scanner is often employed in mining (open-cast mining). The operation of the scanner is made directly on the scanner or optionally on a tablet PC. The scan data is saved on an external storage medium. Maptek I-Site 8400 is equipped with internal lithium ion batteries which allow a duration of 2.5 hours. The 3D laser scanner can be used for mobile mapping.
