Trimble TX5 scanner is a 3D laser scanner manufactured by the company Trimble Navigation Limited. It is characterized by a maximum measuring speed of 976,000 points/second and a field of view of 360° (horizontal) x 270° (vertical). The phase-based scanner allows scanning in a range of 0.6m (23.62 in) to 120m (4,724.41 in). Trimble TX5 is equipped with a 70-megapixel digital camera for the creation of colored scans. The 3D laser scanner is operated by means of a touch screen or via WLAN by means of a remote control. The scan data can be transferred by use of SD, SDHC or SDXC cards. The scanner can be powered by an external power source or by means of the internal lithium ion batteries which provide a duration of up to 5 hours. Trimble TX5 is an OEM of FARO Focus3D.
