Shining3D EinScan H2
TitleHigh-precision 3D data with just one measuring device
The EinScan H2 from Shining3D is a hybrid handheld scanner that can be used in numerous areas. The EinScan H2 revolutionizes digital workflows.
With its 5MP texture camera, high accuracy and 3 infrared VCSEL projectors, photo-realistic textures are possible. Objects of different sizes, shapes and colors are captured with high precision in the shortest possible time.
TitleScanning technology with white LED light and infrared radiation
Reliable scanning thanks to dual scan technology
The EinScan H2 offers the option of scanning with white LED light or infrared radiation. This enables various measuring methods, making the handheld scanner extremely versatile.
The restrictions caused by materials and surfaces that are difficult to scan are minimized. Thanks to the EinScan H2 scanner, you can use one device for measuring tasks that previously required at least two devices.
Scanning with white LED light makes it possible to quickly capture suitable surfaces and geometries. However, if this reaches its limits with glossy or black surfaces, scanning with infrared ensures more accurate and complete 3D results.
TitleReliable results at high speed
The 3D scanner for industry
The EinScan H2 is one of the most precise handheld scanners on the market with very high-resolution images. With its specifications, the H2 meets most industrial requirements for reverse engineering, metrology and automotive engineering.
The highest resolution level offers point distances of 0.2mm with accuracies of up to 0.05mm. The capture speed is 1,200,000 points per second.
TitlePhotorealistic textures
With the 5MP texture camera, the Shining3D EinScan H2 captures rich, vibrant colors and clean textures.
This technology can be used to create photorealistic 3D models that can also be produced using a 3D printer.
TitleOptimized for face and body scans
The infrared technology of the EinScan H2 ensures optimum comfort when 3D scanning the face and body. The advanced algorithm enables even more accurate scanning of very fine details (e.g. hair). The hybrid scan function makes it possible to scan dark and light hair optimally.
There is no fixed algorithm in IR mode. This makes the capture of 3D body data much faster and more precise. In addition, slight movements during scanning are automatically compensated for to prevent misalignment.

TitleA 3D scanner for different requirements
The EinScan H2 from Shining3D can be used universally in its applications thanks to its hybrid technology.
The size and type of object to be scanned often varies in some areas, meaning that different measuring devices are required to capture objects correctly. With the EinScan H2, on the other hand, you can master several applications with just one measuring device.

TitleWhy EinScan H2?
Industry & design
User-friendliness, speed and precision are the most important characteristics when digitizing elements from the mechanical engineering sector. In combination with its versatility, the EinScan H2 fulfills these characteristics and makes the detailed imaging of components a simple application.
Larger objects can be captured with the EinScan H2. You will receive your highly accurate result within a few minutes.
Healthcare
The EinScan H2 is a perfect device for safe body scans. The optical detection is free of magnetic radiation or other harmful influences. Thanks to the safe measurement method, body parts or entire persons can be captured with high precision. This makes the planning of prostheses or medical procedures more precise and faster.
When scanning people, the EinScan H2 can capture 3D information quickly and seamlessly; minor movements of the person being scanned are automatically compensated for.
Art & cultural assets
The handheld scanner is also used in archaeology and art. When working in museums, it is very important to capture images of rare or complex objects such as sculptures. They can be captured very quickly and easily with the EinScan H2 and deliver complex and highly precise results. The 3D data generated can then be used to reproduce these works, for example.
In addition, the creation of a digital library or a digital museum is an application that is becoming increasingly popular.

TitleSimple scanning with reliable results
The EinScan H2 captures the shape and color of the measurement objects in real time. You simply point the scanner at the object to be measured and all relevant areas are captured. The scanner's field of view is displayed in the associated Solid Edge SHINING 3D Edition software, making it very easy to follow the measurement.
With the EinScan H2, it is possible to capture the entire geometry of small to large objects with fine details; the handheld scanner achieves an impressively high resolution of up to 0.2mm. The very high accuracy of up to 0.05mm and the volumetric accuracy of 0.05 ± 0.1mm/m in LED mode improve the precision of 3D data capture in a dense point cloud or in meshes.
The scanning speed of up to 1.2 million points/sec. and the maximum field of view of 420x440mm (LED) or 780x900mm (IR) ensure fast scanning of larger objects such as cars. The optimized alignment algorithm enables efficient alignment despite small movements of the scanned object or person. Thanks to the integrated 5 megapixel color camera and the large scan field, the EinScan H2 delivers high-quality, authentic and photorealistic textures and 3D color data.
TitleHow does the measurement with the EinScan H2 work?
Preparing the scanner
The EinScan H2 can be set up, connected and ready to measure in just a few minutes. The supplied calibration plate can be used before each measurement to ensure that the results correspond to the highest level of accuracy. Calibration is automated and can be carried out within a maximum of 5 minutes.
Preparing the measurement object
Before you can start the measurement, make the project settings. When measuring in white light mode, the measurement markers are not necessarily required. Alignment can also be carried out using object geometries or texture. A combination of geometry and measurement markers is also possible.
The laser scan can only be aligned with the measurement markers. The scanner always requires at least three known measurement markers in the field of view in order to be able to align the captured geometry. If the markers are placed directly on the measurement object, you can also move the object during the measurement. As soon as you place the measurement markers on a support, for example, the position of the measurement object should no longer change. The fact that the EinScan H2 can scan with two light sources (LED + infrared) means that surfaces can be detected even more accurately. For example, even very dark surfaces can now be scanned better.
Scanning the object
EinScan H2 is equipped with the Solid Edge SHINING3D Edition software, which offers you more possibilities. This software displays which areas have already been captured in real time during the scan. The measurement can be paused at any time and continued at known connection points. When you are satisfied with your results, the project can be completed with just a few clicks.
Data export
You can then export the point cloud or create a high-quality mesh from the recorded measurement data.
Point clouds can currently be exported from the EinScan H2 software as a list of coordinates. However, the meshing generated from this offers further export options. Common formats such as .OBJ, .STL, .PLY and others are possible.
