One of the recent 3D scanning projects, with a combination of two scanners used: Artec Eva captured a general shape of the object and Space Spider captured its small and narrow parts. Only Artec Studio 12 and its algorithms were used for post-processing, nothing else. Results:
- 14 scans in total (some are small, but contain a very intricate geometry)
- 1.5 million polygons in a simplified 3D-mesh
- 3D scanning time: around 30 minutes
- Post-processing time: around 40-50 minutes in total, including all steps: registration of raw 3D frames, building mesh, simplification, etc
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
