At the beginning of the DEUBAU 2012, the international construction trade fairing Essen (Germany) from January 10th to 14th 2012, the German architecture magazines AIT and „xia Intelligente Architektur“ announced the winners of the “Innovation award for architecture and civil engineering” for the tenth time. Overall 18 different manufacturers with 21 products applied for the award. This year, The FARO Laser Scanner Focus3D has been honored with the coveted innovation award in the category “product of high architectural quality”. The Focus3D convinced the jury especially with its innovative design and its technical efficiency. Furthermore, the increasing need of 3D data is an indicator for the importance of the product.
