MDL (Measurement Devices Ltd) strictly sticks to its growth plan. After acquisitions in Australia and North America last year as well as opening of an office in China in January, the company working in the field of laser scanning has recently has bought a company in Canada: Thomas Engineering.
The new branch office MDL Canada focuses especially on service and sales of the laser-based surveying instruments for mining, quarrying and surveying industry.
MDL’s customer base is primarily located in Canada, Australia, Chile and South Africa and is mainly operating in mining. The possibility to buy the company Thomas Engineering, which has been working as a distributor for 15 years, was an enormous gain for MDL.
